The Herb Snyder Endowment Fund was created in 1993 as a living memorial to the spirit and generosity of Herb and his wife Anne. Herb was an advocate in the early years of the civil rights movement and was respected by all in the community for his commitment to equality, both political and economic. He and Anne shared a desire to help the poor and disadvantaged and to forge relationships between races.
After the death of Martin Luther King, Jr., it was Herb who initiated the meeting that resulted in ProJeCt being founded. Herb’s legacy to the community lives on. His wife Anne is a great supporter and dear friend of our agency. So, too, are their children, Joan, David and Jan, a former ProJeCt Board Member. Friends of Herb Snyder continue to grow the endowment that bears his name, a gift that will support ProJeCt for years to come.
Herb’s actions in life brought ProJeCt into being; his spirit and foresight continue to sustain us. We thank his family for continuing to share Herb’s legacy with the community he loved so much.
You too can share in his spirit by making a donation to the Herb Snyder Endowment Fund. Please consider an endowment gift to our Foundations for Success Campaign.
