ProJeCt presented the third Daniel E. Cohen Award to long-time Board member and volunteer Alan Abraham on Thursday, May 9.

More than 160 people came to the Hampton Inn Easton to celebrate Alan and his support of ProJeCt’s mission. In addition to receiving this award, Alan received proclamations from Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure and State Representative Robert Freeman.

ProJeCt CEO Janice Komisor served as emcee of the evening’s program. After remarks from Board member Daniel E. Cohen after whom the award is named, Janice welcomed Juan Gomez and Holly Davis-Hockman to share their experiences as ProJeCt students and graduates.

Alan’s daughters Tammy and Laini Abraham then shared their thoughts about their father before turning the podium over to the guest of honor. Alan spoke passionately about his motivations for volunteering and also addressed the need of non-profits to run sustainably like a traditional, for-profit business.
