Priority staples program

All grocery/food pantries need similar food staples for their clients. While these may vary due to dietary needs and tastes, these priority staples are:

  • boxed whole grain cereal

  • rice products

  • pasta products

  • tomato products

  • canned meats, tuna, fish

  • non-perishable canned products such as vegetables, soups, and entrees like chili

  • non-perishable milk products

  • peanut butter

  • baking mix/pancake mix

  • beans

  • canned fruits

  • fruit juices

The Priority Staples Program is designed to enable groups to collect the same item(s) for our Food Pantry consistently. It is a convenient way for members to give regularly. We prefer to receive the most nutritious product possible for our clients. This includes fresh produce, whole grains, high fiber, low sodium, no added sugar and in various sizes to meet the needs of individuals and families.
